Gordon Oaks' first phase, the Alabama-licensed Assisted Living Facility, opened in 1986, designed to serve 2 levels of care for seniors in need of some assistance with their day-to-day living. This may include help with bathing, medications, meals or other assistance. Two sizes of living quarters are available, as shown below.

Some of the features of this facility include: central and private dining rooms; old-fashioned ice cream and soda fountain; beauty shop; reading and game rooms; and a courtyard with a recreation area, and pool.
