A year later, in 1987, the first of 88 independent-living Senior Apartments opened to begin phase two of the Gordon Oaks community.
Soon after, phase three of the complex was built and staffed. This new state-of-the-art skilled nursing facility, the Healthcare Center, completed the continuum of care concept of the Gordon Oaks Retirement Community.
